Delighted to find that Creek Cabin has been shortlisted for East Suffolk Council's Quality of Place Awards 2024!

Our sustainable retrofit for a multigenerational family home in Sydenham has been featured as Project of the Month in Build It magazine!
The retrofit of the mid-century detached property involved the integration of a ground air source heat pump to provide heating and hot water throughout the home, and a largely timber structure which minimises environmental impact. The landscaping was also a key element of this 'urban oasis', with careful consideration given to the surrounding flora and fauna.
Inspired by the surrounding Arts and Crafts style, we've created a contemporary take on the area’s iconic cat slide and hipped roofs.
Sustainable design was key to the brief, with important sustainable features being introduces: Air Source Heat Pump, PV Panels, Passivhaus Principles for exceptional energy efficiency, rich biodiverse landscaping to enhance local ecology and car-free development promoting sustainable urban living.

James, Architect at MAP, has recently started the “Design for Life? Fire safety and building resilience” course at the London School of Architecture.
The course responds to the professional, moral and ethical imperative of all architects and practitioners in the building industry to equip themselves with the latest fire, health and life safety knowledge. The course will also provide the opportunity to investigate the new Principal Designer roles under the Building Safety Act and understand how these duties impact on the work we do as a practice.
This carefully crafted space serves as a welcoming introduction to the school, establishing an activated frontage that elevates the arrival experience. We've prioritised the use of sustainable materials and adopted a low-carbon approach throughout the design.
