Newtown Works Ashford - Historic Building Restoration

Historic Buildings Restoration, Newtown Works Ashford

We have won a recent public tender for the restoration of a trio of Grade II Listed Buildings for the iconic Newtown Railway Works, Ashford, Kent.

The project portfolio comprises the Clock Tower, Acetylene Store, and Paint Store—buildings that form an integral part of the historic train works site. Currently in a state of disrepair, our aim is to transform these structures through an innovative and caring restoration approach, ensuring their use for future generations.

We have been appointed to develop proposals to retrofit the buildings to improve the thermal performance, to a shell and core level. This win symbolizes a significant milestone for us as a young firm, building on our dedication to sensitive, low-energy restoration and retrofits, and furthering our practical research into the decarbonization of listed and heritage buildings.
