Each apartment has its own unique characteristic, however the general aesthetic expresses the existing building features of the warehouse internally, while incorporating highly bespoke timber carpentry and stainless-steel fittings. Each apartment has at least two bedrooms and includes a large open plan kitchen and living space, which provides the focal point for the apartments. The internal spaces are finished to a high level of architectural detailing with multiple instances of bespoke joinery such as pocket doors, fold-down murphy beds and open shelf libraries. A series of long views through the apartment spaces provide a sense of openness and connection between inside and outside.
The project has included thermal upgrades to the external fabric by improving the performance of the windows and insulating the external fabric of the re-built south elevation wall. The project has also increased the levels of insulation in the main mansard roof and replaced the rooflights with high performance modern rooflights.
